Who doesn't love a Costco Black Friday sale? When you can snag your TV, computer, or new toaster before everyone else, that is. A huge part of Black Friday shopping is going to be online this season, that is a big stress reliever. But when everyone is shopping on the web at the same time, you still only have a slim possibility of grabbing a great deal before it's gone. Fortunately, TikTok influencer and lawyer Erika Kullberg revealed a secret hack to obtain early access to Black Friday deals.
According to Kullberg in her viral video, you can buy that new laptop, camera, or stunning jewelry now and get the Black Friday deal later, because of Costco's price adjustment policy. If you buy a Costco item on the internet and it goes for sale within 30 days once you purchase it, you are able to complete an easy online form to request a price adjustment. Costco will price match the product – meaning they'll create it for you at the sale price – and offer a store credit for the difference. The loan usually opens up for you in three to five business days.

Does the Costco Black Friday hack actually work?
If you're a little doubtful of this loophole, you may be a knowledgeable shopper. Many major retailers who've similar policies make it clear that price adjustments don't apply to Black Friday deals. Costco is unusual in this regard, since it doesn't exclude Black Friday markdowns from the price adjustment policy.
However, there are some caveats. Kullberg stated on Instagram that different store locations may have different policies. This could cause an issue if you wish to buy something on the internet and then pick it up in-store. In addition, sites like Retail Me Not say that you won't be able to purchase certain components of advance if they're going on sale on Thanksgiving or Black Friday.
As of November 17, however, we haven't found any Costco items online that can't be purchased in advance for full price if they are going on sale for Thanksgiving and Black Friday. (But i am not saying this loophole pertains to every Costco product, so be sure to browse the purchasing details!)
How to Use the Hack
To try out the shopping hack, check Costco's list of Black Friday deals, then copy the name of the item you want into the Costco search bar. We used it out with the Dyson V10 Animal+ Cordless Stick Vacuum.

This may be the Thanksgiving deal listed for that vacuum. There isn't any choice to click the item and buy it yet, because it doesn't continue sale until November 25. That's why you need to highlight, copy, and paste the name of the item in to the Costco search bar.

Once you click on the item – in this case, the vacuum – you need to see its top dollar as well as an option to purchase it and have it shipped for you. Keep in mind that you must have a membership and become signed into your account to determine the price.

To make sure that you are acquiring the exact item that will continue sale on Thanksgiving or Black Friday, check the item number. In this instance, the item number around the vacuum's Black Friday listing matches the product number in the full-price listing (number 6600066). Remember that you won't manage to find the product by copying and pasting the product number into the Costco search bar. It only works if you copy the entire name from the product.
After you purchase the item at full price, you ought to be able to request a price adjustment on Thanksgiving Day or Black Friday – whichever day it went on sale. And when, for whatever reason, Costco denies the price adjustment, you may still be able to return the item and get a refund (take a look at Costco's return guarantee.) Good luck out there, and happy shopping!
