We have heard that breakfast is the most important meal during the day. So why do a lot of us only have coffee as we head out the doorway? Or worse, grab that donut once we get to the office. With just a little preparing in advance, you prepare some healthy breakfast options that are almost as easy as that mug of coffee.

  • Apple Sandwiches – Yes, I understand that sounds strange. However when you slice the apple into rings and give a healthy dose of peanut butter in between, you've got a sandwich that fills you up all morning.
  • Egg Muffins – Rather than baking your frittata within the cast iron skillet, try portioning it out into a muffin tin instead. You can still grow it with all of your preferred ingredients for example spinach and Swiss, however they are really the best size to heat and go.
  • Enhanced Toast – Before you decide to fix your coffee, throw a slice of whole wheat bread into the toaster. If this pops up, spread it with ricotta or goat cheese and add sliced avocados. Or for something new of pace, try herbed cream cheese and paper-thin slices of smoked salmon. Fiber and protein out the door!
  • Smoothies – Any variety of these could be pre-made and kept in travel mugs or mason jars so that all you need to do each morning is grab one and begin your entire day.
  • Breakfast Tacos – Create a batch of these ahead and some time and freeze them in individual portions. Be sure to give a serving of vegetables for the fiber, and a dash of salsa for any kick of flavor.

I love the breakfasts and lunches will be able to pre-make every sunday. I'm more likely to consume healthy when it is grab-and-go!
