It seems that a lot of women are caretakers by nature, from bosses and coworkers to spouses and children to friends and family. And while we enjoy looking after the ones we care about, sometimes we forget to take care of the mom – ourselves. When we take care of ourselves, we are in better contour around look after someone else.

What are the ways you attempt to take care of yourself?

Here are several suggestions on easy ways to take a moment for yourself:

  • Enjoy your morning routine. Sometimes taking a couple of minutes of peace and quiet to start your entire day might help bring just a little peace and quiet to the rest of your day. It might help center the mind during the day to come.
  • Enjoy your evening routine. It can also be good to end your entire day with a few minutes to yourself. I enjoy this myself, to take my time in getting ready for bed and calm myself from the hectic day.
  • Take yourself too much on the date. It may be something simple just like a visit your favorite frozen treats place, or something like that more lingering for example lunch at a nice café or perhaps a movie. Have a treat-me afternoon, maybe brunch with friends or a pedicure.
  • Take yourself somewhere new. If you're feeling really daring and also have the resources, traveling solo could be liberating. You are only bound from your own limitations and you can pretty much visit any sight or get your meals at any restaurant you want.
  • Try something new. I know, that does not necessarily sound relaxing but it can be. Losing yourself for an hour in a painting class or a meditation session can help bring your mind from the endless to-do list.
