Do you travel with your full face of makeup, or would you enable your skin have the week removed from bronzer and blush and concealer? For many people, it likely depends on the trip itself. If you've got a business conference, you'll most likely be transporting makeup with you. If you are off and away to hike the Rocky Mountains, you may only want extra sunscreen. Here are three different levels of going with makeup, and also the potential corresponding trips that coincide.

  • None Whatsoever – This is a bit drastic but if you are backpacking through Thailand, makeup just doesn't make sense. Personally, I like the thought of giving my skin a break from the normal routine of concealer and mineral powder. Just back your cleanser, your sunscreen, and your moisturizer, and you are ready to go.
  • Minimal – Realistically, this might be where most people fall. What about a tinted moisturizer, mascara, and a lip color that may be used as blush. My own minimal routine is really a tinted moisturizer with SPF, a concealer pencil, and some type of lip and cheek color. I prefer to get my lashes tinted before I vacation, to ensure that protects my eyes.
  • Full Makeup Kit – You are taking absolutely everything you wear on the normal basis. This is actually the most likely option should you travel for business or on a cruise in which you intend to attend the formal nights.

Just remember, even though you travel with a full face of makeup, you may still downsize using travel sizes, samples, and the wonderful contacts lens case. If you haven't used a contacts case before, they hold a perfect amount of liquid or cream for about one week approximately, based on your personal use.
