Spring is often the time when formulas and colors start lightening as the trees bud out and the flowers bloom. While dark eye and lip colors and matte skin would be the norm for that winter months, spring is about light and air and glow.

  • Instead from the heavy matte foundation, try a tinted moisturizer instead. The shade range in bareMinerals Complexion Rescue™ Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream makes is an ideal choice for almost any complexion. Make sure to use something that offers a decent SPF to help protect your complexion since the sun's rays is out again.
  • Trade your powder blush for that sheer colour of a cream. The majority of the cream blushes offer buildable coverage to be able to put it on as light or as bold as you want. I'm a huge fan of multi-purpose products so Becca Beach Lip and Blush Tint or Nudestix Gel Color Lip + Cheek Balm look wonderful to me.
  • Layers and layers of eye makeup often look odd in the spring, however, you still want to define those peepers. For a sheer wash of color that will accentuate any eye color and shape, try an eyeshadow tint for example Clinique Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for Eyes, plus lots of mascara.
  • If you won't want to use the same product in your cheeks and lips, try a gloss, tint, or stain instead of your winter's thick matte lipstick. One of the items that I intend to try this spring is the gorgeous Bite Beauty Lush Lip Tint, using its lush color and smoothing ingredients such as argan oil and vitamin E.

Spring isn't the here we are at a totally bare face, only one that accentuates your physical features and glows from inside!
