Makeup appears to be getting more complicated lately, with new techniques and methods being touted by beauty videos everywhere. But which of them actually serve a practical purpose?
- Curling Lashes – The devices for this makeup trick look positively medieval, but it's not that scary. And it is worth it, the way in which curled lashes help make your eyes appear bigger and much more defined. Squeeze the device gently against the lower upper lashes. Keep in mind, don't curl after are applying mascara. It might damage or break off the lashes.
- Filling Brows – Sometimes it can feel like an unnecessary step in the morning routine, but it can definitely make a difference for those who have sparse or uneven brows. They serve as a frame for the entire eye area and can help make your whole look seem more finished and polished. Only use light hand and make sure they are even.
- Baking – If you're unfamiliar, baking may be the method of caking on loose powder and letting it set to absorb any excess oil in the skin. After you allow the powder take five to ten minutes, you brush the remaining off. It's a trick used by drag queens for years, but it makes its method to mainstream. It may set your entire face like very little other product or technique. Baking is particularly ideal for the undereye area.
- Tightlining – Love love love this one now that I have learned how. Tightlining is the manner of pressing eyeliner directly into the base of the very best lashes. It can make your lashes look darker and thicker without adding lots of eye shadows. The best method I have found is to use a cream eyeliner and a flat-tipped brush to press the liner towards the lashline.
